INTERTWINED

A NEW musical by Paul Syrstad

A story of youths in a world of crime and fear. But is it possible to break free from this life of

revenge, knife crime and ‘Intimidation’! Follow the life of Noel, his struggle with his inner self,

and see if love will triumph and if he has the courage to ‘Stand and be Counted’.

A thought-provoking story set in a world very few of us know, but read about all too often.

Noel will have to face the ultimate test between his heart, soul and mind.

Paul is currently studying National Diploma in Performing Arts at Burton College, Burton-upon-Trent.

He has had major roles in many plays, musicals and professional films including a lead in the new feature film ‘The Perfect Burger’ with the BYFA directed by Todd Carty and has also performed at ‘Her Majesty’s Theatre’ in a one off special; “Moonlit Sky”.

This is his first musical which he worked on for more than a year, which he produced and directed with the help of some of his experienced friends as well as playing a part in the show.

He has already started work on writing his second musical called:

“A Dream’s Reality”

The musical had its premiere at

The Brewhouse Theatre Burton on Trent,

11th December 2009.

It was performed for a full house and was received with a standing ovation.
Paul would have liked to tour the production in the Midlands and had offers from schools to come and perform INTERTWINED, after heads of drama came to the premiere.

Unfortunately he will not have the time as he will be having auditions for drama schools, trying to secure a coveted place for September 2010. In addition to studying at college, he is also in another musical production and a film this spring.

He would therefore be happy if other groups, youth-theatres or schools would like to perform this musical.
